Sash and Door Restoration/Replication

Does your exterior window glazing fall out when you touch it? Does your sash show evidence of a termite party? Is your window sash beyond repair?

A full sash restoration consists of:

  • Scraping all pre-modern paint using lead safe practices and containment
  • Removing glazing and glass from sash
  • Heating and removing paint from profiles to avoid changing shape of wood
  • Repairing all rotting areas using Abatron LiquidWood and Wood Epox
  • If needed, we can create an exact sash replication using Accoya sustainable wood

  • Reinserting glass and glazing with Sarco Multi-Glaze Type M Glazing Compound
  • Sanding primed wood to prepare for new paint
  • Painting sash in the color of your choice
